The Sainte Claire

The six-story Renaissance Revival hotel of 1926 at Market and San Carlos streets, now The Westin San Jose.

Designed by Weeks and Day and financed by developer T. S. Montgomery, it was the region’s grand hotel. Montgomery also gave the land across the street for the Civic Auditorium. It was restored in the 1990s and became The Westin San Jose in 2015.
